KB100012 - Error Encountered - Unit with unit identity doesn't exist

Identification

When a user attempts to open an asset that was saved or imported from a different EtaPRO system.

Resolution

If the desire is to copy an asset from one EtaPRO system to another, the user should clone the asset using the Asset Editor tools:

Use of this tool will allow the user to find the desired asset points in the new unit. If the corresponding points do not exist, the asset can not be cloned. Contact EtaPRO Support for assistance with this tool.

To resolve this issue, the asset should be removed from the Database Assets list using the EtaPRO Client | Asset Editor by an EtaPRO user with adequate permissions.

  1. Select Configuration | Enter Edit Mode
  2. Select Asset Editor
  3. Select the Database Asset to be removed by clicking the row of the asset
  4. Right-click and select Delete
  5. Click Yes at the "Are you sure you want to delete the asset from the database?" prompt
